sticky soy chicken wings.

hi foodie friends, you’re going to love this sticky soy chicken wings recipe. it’s the perfect combination of sweet, salty and crunchy. can you name a better trio?

recently went to a restaurant and ordered some teriyaki wings, probably the worst wings i’ve had in a while 😬.. they were soggy and tasted like straight soy sauce.

which would’ve completely sucked until i got the bright idea to make actual soy sauce wings that tasted like happiness feels😏.

try this recipe and tell me these aren’t the best wings 🍗 you’ve ever eaten.

ingredients

serving 6

2 lb chicken wings

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper

2-3 tbs cornstarch

1/2 c soy sauce

3 garlic cloves minced

1 tbs fresh ginger minced

2 tbs sesame oil

2 tbs butter melted

1/2 c honey or agave

4 c oil for frying

sesame seeds for garnish

instructions

in a sauce pan on medium-high heat, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger and sesame oil bring to a simmer for about 15. stir frequently to avoid burning the sauce.

in a bowl, season wings with garlic and onion powder and pepper. then dust with cornstarch and set aside.

to a deep fryer or large pot, heat oil to 350°.

carefully fry coated wings a few at a time to avoid crowding. fry wings for 9 minutes or golden crispy and cooked through.

toss wings in the sticky soy sauce, top with sesame seeds and serve with fries 🍟  or rice 🍚.

enjoy!
