spicy cajun butter wings.

football season is here and in full spring, my favorite thing about football season is obviously the food. i’ve created three wing recipes that are sure to rock your world this football season. first one up spicy cajun butter wing, inspired by love of spice food, my bestie and lsu 🐯💜💛. i’m not saying this will be your favorite wing recipe 🤣.. but don’t be surprised if you can’t stop eating them.

ingredients


2-3 lb chicken wings, tips removed | saved for stock

1 c butter, room temperature

5 tbs cajun spices

4 tbs crystal hot sauce | optional

1/4 tsp dried thyme

1/4 tsp dried onion flakes

1/4 tsp dried garlic flakes

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

3 tbs parsley, chopped, for garnish

vegetable oil for frying



instructions


preheat oven to 350 degrees. line baking sheet with parchment paper.


season chicken with 3 tablespoons of cajun seasoning and place on lined baking sheet and bake the wings for 20 minutes.


combine the remaining seasonings and hot sauce into the butter, set aside.


meanwhile, fill a cast iron half way up with vegetable oil and to 350°.


after 20 minutes, remove from oven and place into frying oil 3-4 minutes per side or until they are golden brown and crispy.


toss in butter mixture, garnish with parsley.
