broccoli cheddar soup


ingredients

1/2 c butter

1 c onions, diced

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 c flour

3 c chicken broth

3 c cream

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

2 c broccoli florets, chopped

3-4 c shredded cheddar cheese


instructions

place butter in a large pot over medium heat. sauté onions and garlic until translucent.


then add the flour and continue cooking for about 3 minutes, mixing frequently. when it starts looking like cookie dough,

add the chicken broth and mix until it thickens.


add milk, salt and pepper to the pot.


add chopped broccoli florets and stir.


let simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes, add shredded cheddar cheese to the pot and combine.


serve and enjoy!
